Tour Itinerary - Basic Plus Course

Day 01 - Wednesday,
Depart the US for the Holyland

Day 02 - Thursday, (D)
Shalom and welcome to Israel
Arrive at Ben Gurion International Airport
Meeting & assistance services & transfer to the Jerusalem Hills
Dinner and overnight: Jerusalem

Day 03 - Friday, (B, D)
Meet your tour guide and start the day with a visit to Yad Vashem, Holocaust Memorial site.
Visit Mt Zion, the site of King David's Tomb, founder of Jerusalem 3000 years ago and the Upper Room, generally accepted as the Last Supper Hall.
Then tour the Jewish Quarter to see the Cardo, an 1800 year old shopping mall still in use today, the Broad Wall and the Southern Wall Excavations, including the stairs that led up to the Temple and the location of the Moneychangers' stands.
Continue to the Western Wall, holiest place for the Jewish People.
Cross into the Christian Quarter to visit the Church of the Holy Sepulcher
Stroll the Old City alleys and enjoy the unique Oriental Bazaars of Jerusalem
Enjoy a Holy Communion to be held at the Garden Tomb
Dinner and overnight: Jerusalem

 

Day 04 - Saturday, (B, D)
Start the day with the most spectacular view over the city of Jerusalem from atop the Mount of Olives. Descend to the Dead Sea via the Judea Desert and continue to Massada; ascend the cliff to see the unique hideout palaces built by Herod the Great. Pause on the shores of the Dead Sea for a swim (float)
Drive north along the Jordan Valley to Beit Shean a fully excavated Roman/Byzantine city of Scytopolis
End the day at the baptismal site of Yardenit
Dinner and overnight: Machanaim

Day 05 - Sunday, (B, L, D)
1st day of “BASIC PLUS” course
Transfer to the Range, “Double Action Israel” customized activity. (See separate course syllabus)
Dinner at the range & activity: Guest speaker –IDF reserve officer,
transfer to overnight: Country Lodging

Day 06 - Monday, (B, L, D)
2nd day of “BASIC PLUS” course
Transfer to the Range, “Double Action Israel” customized activity. (See separate course syllabus)
Dinner at the range & activity: Cook out in the new Israeli Special Unit Style. Evening entertainment.
transfer to overnight: Country Lodging

Day 07 - Tuesday, (B, D)
Transfer to the Range and then drive west across the lush Galilee and head to Mt. Carmel, pause at the spot where Elijah smote the false Baal prophets. View the city of Haifa harbor and the unique Bahai Gardens from a vantage point.
Continue to Akko, the major Crusaders city for a visit of the Crusaders Halls and escape tunnels.
Drive north along the Mediterranean Coast to Rosh Hanikra to visit the Sea Grottos
Return along the Lebanese Border to the Range.
Dinner at the range & activity: BBQ in the Palm Grove and
evening entertainment.
transfer to overnight: Country Lodging

Day 08 - Wednesday, (B, D)
Transfer to the Range and then, weather permitting, ascend and descend the Arbel Cliffs.
Continue to Megiddo for a visit of this ancient site with its unique water supply system. View the Valley of Armageddon from atop Tel Megiddo.
Continue to Mount Tabor and ascend by a special taxi up to the Church of Transfiguration and absorb a spectacular View of the Valley (meet in Ayelet Hashahar)
Dinner at the range & activity,
overnight: Tiberias or Kibbutz Guest House by the Sea of Galilee

Day 09 - Thursday, (B, D)
Transfer to the Range and then drive for a tour of Zfat - the City of Mystical Judaism (Kabala). Explore the narrow alleyways lined with ancient synagogues, artists' galleries and candle factory. Descend via Rosh Pina to the Hulla Valley and Nature Reserve. Visit Teva Naot Factory.
Pending weather conditions enjoy either kayaking adventure on the Jordan River or a Jeep tour at the foot of the Golan Heights.
Dinner at the range & activity: Closing dinner, certificate presentation & evening entertainment at the conclusion of the day.

Day 10 - Friday, (B, D)
Start the day at the Yigal Alon Museum and visit the ancient Fisherman Boat from the time of Jesus. Drive to Nazareth. Tour the childhood town of Jesus, site of the Church of the Annunciation and the Synagogue where Jesus spent time teaching and preaching. Enjoy some free time in Nazareth open market.
Return to the Sea of Galilee area
Continue atop the Mount of Beatitudes to pray and reflect. Continue to Tabgha, where Jesus performed the Miracle of the Fishes and the Loaves and to Capernaum, where He preached and lived for three years.
In the evening drive to Hamat Gader for a unique experience at this ancient Roman Bath and Hot Springs.
Dinner and overnight: Tiberias or Kibbutz Guest House by the Sea of Galilee

Day 11 - Saturday, (B, L)
Drive north and ascend to Hakoach Fortress to view the valley and hear about the war of Independence. Continue along the border with Lebanon to the Frontier Town of Metula. Visit Lilach Military outpost on the border with Lebanon (pending confirmation)
Drive across the Wetland Valley for a visit of the Banias Springs (Caesari of Philippi).
Ascend the Golan Heights and drive by Nimrod Castle and Majedel Shams, Druze village, to Mount Bental for a view into Syria and the ghost town of Kuneitra.
Descend the Golan Heights to Kibbutz Ein Gev. Enjoy St Peter’s Fish farewell lunch.
Return to the hotel sailing across the Sea of Galilee

Depart Israel: - This afternoon head to Ben Gurion International Airport. Along the way pass by Megiddo before check-in for late night overseas flight home.

Note: Departing flights arrive the next day, Sunday, with domestic connections if necessary to your final destination.

During the course phase of the tour, each morning transfer to the range with participants of the “Basic Plus” course, dine with them as well as enjoy the evening activities together. At the end of the day all transfer to accommodations per itinerary.
